Hello, my name is Bill, I work for a company called GOJobs.com.  I’m looking for people to evaluate our new site design and leave feedback, I would be willing to reciprocate by doing the same.  I mainly just want another pair of eyes on this thing, you know how it gets when you’re coding, sometimes you get too close to it and have to step back and let someone else point out any problems or stumbling blocks.  Here’s the URL:

http://gojobs.com/consulting-jobs.html

The page is designed to be useful for people seeking consulting jobs, where you can use the skills you possess to improve others’ business (Seems fitting for this blog J ).  Please take a look and leave a little feedback. Thank you for reading, and good luck sharing your skills!

Is there any chance I could enlist someone's aid in putting together a phpbb style for a new forum I'm doing?

I'd like a dark, gritty, industrial feel to it.

I'd also really like the templates to be fully xhtml/css compliant, but that can be split into two tasks. One task is developing the artwork, which can simply be putting together a sliced psd file, and the other is making the templates. If you have artistic skills, or xhtml/css skills, I can use your help either way.

Here are a couple examples of themes I like to give you an idea. The top example is probably the best, and the theme I normally use is Zarron's Charcoal3Steel.

design - http://osc.template-help.com/forum_12926/
Charcoal3Steel - http://zarron.com/
side tabs - http://osc.template-help.com/forum_12882/
dance - http://osc.template-help.com/forum_11934/
Ambience - http://www.extremepixels.net/phpbb/index.php?s=35
Tren_z - http://www.extremepixels.net/phpbb/index.php?s=58
mechanical_creator - http://osc2.template-help.com:8081/forum_13468/

I like how some of these break up the layout with some white space, putting navigation tabs on the left, and utilize non-standard lines to break up the usual boxy layout of phpbb. Sometimes it is just the same blocky layout, but the graphics have nifty tabs and curves to dress it up.

The artist who helps me would obviously still own the work and would decide distribution rights of it as they wish.

As far as anything I have to offer to others, I am a bit of a computer guru. I've done system administration work on AS/400, AIX/Unix, Linux and Windows. I can troubleshoot and repair most computer problems. (99% of the people who come to me for computer help usually have spyware and viruses on their computer and need them cleaned, which is quite simple).

Thanks for your time!

So Here's the deal....I'm in a band called Playground Heroes from Kissimmee, FL. My band is in the process of booking a 7 week full US tour to promote our new album. We've toured successfully many times but it's been about 2 and 1/2 years since we've been on the road and as a result most of the resources and contacts we had have disappeared/closed down. We've been emailing places and contacting places through book your own fucking life, gigswap and myspace...but we need help. So if you're in a band or you're a promoter, booker, whatever and you would or could hook us up with a show between june 10th and july 29th email me or reply on here or aim: satansonion127 with what town/state you're in and I'll get ahold of you with what date we need. The only places in Florida we need are Tallahassee, Pensacola, or Jacksonville. We'll gladly do gig trades with bands or whatever.
Thanks in advance and hope to hear from you soon.

The Zine Archive and Publishing Project (ZAPP) in Seattle is proud to announce its inaugural summer workshop program, DIY Academy, which will run from June 6 - Aug 16, 2005. We are currently looking for instructors to add to our already excellent pedagogical resource base. If you will be in the area this summer and know your stuff, consider being part of an exciting and meaningful project! Otherwise, if you know someone who is interested, please pass it on.

Best,

Your Skills to Offer : I've been doing music compositions for over 3 years. For some reason I have a big nack for scene ambiance (especally for suspense and horror genre films). I have done work in 2 minor films and one independent picture (in addition to a plethora of shorts). I will have a portfolo compiled shortly, with some of the best examples of my work in film audio. Also, I am an excellent human resource assistant. I have done many jobs compiling demographical information for various companys and political campaigns. I also have some skill in graphic design and touch up. I would say that my biggest assest is my creativity, and great ear for audio (good for asking an opinion on work ect. ect.) I'm not really looking for pay, but more so for experience.

Other interesting facts: I DJ, and play the drums.
